Area Retail Development:

The trade area has been experiencing a demographic transformation over the past several years. The Hispanic population has increased by over 50% since 2003. The trade area is now approximately 70% Hispanic. Torre Vista Plaza, located at the northeast corner of this intersection, is undergoing a major renovation and redevelopment. El Rio Grande, 46,000 SF, is a full service Hispanic theme grocery store, dd’s and a number of other soft goods/service retailers have signed leases.  Additionally, Walgreens just opened a new location at this intersection. Thus, the intersection is experiencing a dramatic resurgence in retail activity.
